This privacy statement applies to this website which is operated by Ascend Asset Management Limited ABN 45 112 871 842 (‘Ascend’), under the domain name www.ascendam.com.au (‘Ascend Online'). The information described in this privacy statement may be shared by Ascend with its related bodies corporate (together called the Ascend Group'). Ascend understands and appreciates that you, as an Ascend Online visitor, are concerned about your privacy and about the confidentiality of information we may gain about you online. Ascend is committed to protecting your privacy and complying with privacy laws applicable to the private sector in Australia. This privacy statement explains how your personal information will be treated as you access and interact with Ascend Online.

Information collected
The information about you that Ascend Online may collect includes:
- requests for information you select as you use Ascend Online, for example in requesting an Ascend PDS to be sent to;
- information submitted to online facilities such as search tools or dictionaries; and
- tracking information we collect as you use Ascend Online, including which areas of the site you visit.
You may browse some information-only areas of Ascend Online without providing any personal information, however we may not be able to provide the full range of services through Ascend Online if you do not provide the information outlined above.
Ascend Online may contain links to websites operated by third parties (other than members of Ascend Asset Management) ('Third Party Websites'). Third Party Websites should contain their own privacy statements and those third parties are responsible for informing you about their own privacy practices.
Cookies
Like most major websites, parts of Ascend Online use 'cookies'- small text files placed on your computer by our web server. Cookies are used by Ascend Online to manage security and facilitate an effective and convenient interaction by you with Ascend Online. However, to enable and enjoy full usage of Ascend Online you must allow cookies.

We will use or disclose personal information that we collect about you in accordance with this privacy statement, for the purpose(s) for which we collected it, where you have consented to the use or disclosure, or for purposes related to Ascend's normal business operations. Related purposes for which personal information may be used or disclosed include the following:
- to provide you with information relating to Ascend, information concerning your accounts with Ascend, Ascend promotional details, or about Ascend products and services that may be of interest to you, unless you have previously advised us that you do not wish to be contacted for those purposes;
- to provide you with information and a PDS on Ascend products and services that you have requested via Ascend Online;
- to our custodian or service providers in the course of operating our business;
- purposes connected with the operation, administration, development, or enhancement of Ascend Online; and
- where Ascend suspects that fraud or unlawful activity has been, is being or may be engaged in.
If you request information or a PDS on Ascend products or services, your personal information may be shared between Ascend and our custodian, Australian Executor Trustees, and companies that assist Ascend in providing its website services.
We may provide the information we collect about you to our service providers who assist us in providing Ascend Online and our products and services. We will only disclose your personal information to those third party service providers on a confidential basis so that the service provider can effectively provide those services.
We use and disclose aggregated non-personally identifying information collected through Ascend Online as part of our process of constantly improving the website.
How we handle e-mail and 'contact us' messages
Ascend generally preserves the content of any e-mail or 'contact us' message that you send us. Any personal information contained in your message will only be used or disclosed in ways set out in this privacy statement. Your message content may also be monitored by our service providers or Ascend employees for trouble shooting, compliance auditing, administration, and maintenance purposes or where e-mail abuse is suspected.

Netscape Navigator 3.0 can only connect at 40-bit, and Netscape Navigator versions earlier than 3.0 and Internet Explorer versions earlier than 3.02 are not compatible at all.
